Flora Europaea the original Linnean specimen microphanerophyte, 2n=24, tetraploid saxicole, nemoral Atlantic - Mediterranean - Central European Pino-Quercetalia, Calluno-Genistion R4218 habitats but also others not yet clarified     A very interesting creeping small shrub from arid microenvironments.
